It has actually been quite a tumultuous week. After I announced that my story The Ice Was So Thin Under the Snow was accepted into the anthology Forgotten Ones from Eerie River Press another two stories were accepted. It is crazy. It also somehow completes a circle as it pertains to my literary life. When I moved from reading children's stories to more adult stuff I actually began with horror anthologies. One of my absolute favorites was Stora Monsterboken 2 by Sam J Lundwall. It was a monster of a book with tales from a variety of horror writers. So it is quite exciting to be part of a horror anthology.
All the stories in Forgotten Ones center around forgotten deities of one form or another and it truly sparked my imagination. As I wrote earlier three of my stories have been accepted and they are based in Inuit, Balinese and Mayan lore. I would say more, because it would perhaps spoil too much. Suffice it to say that I am very excited about this.
